NASHVILLE, TN - September 12, 2014 - Confirmation.com Founder and President Brian Fox, CPA, was recently named on Accounting Today's 2014 list of the "Top 100 Most Influential People." This special report features thought leaders and visionaries who are shaping the accounting profession.
"We are thrilled and honored to see Brian named on such a prestigious list," said Chris Schellhorn, CEO of Confirmation.com. "Brian has worked tirelessly to bring about positive changes to the audit profession, and this recognition is a direct result of his vision and outstanding achievements."
To be included on this list, Accounting Today explained "that a candidate should be influential, preferably in the field of public accounting." Accounting Today editors cited several questions they used for their criteria including "have they built a tool that's changing practice itself, the way Brian Fox has changed auditing?"
Accounting Today went on to say that “His tool for electronic confirmations has dragged the audit kicking and screaming into the 21st century – but it’s only the beginning, and Fox is a consistent proponent for taking the revolution further.”
Brian was among other notables such as President Barack Obama, Mary Jo White with the SEC, James Doty with the PCAOB, Erik Asgeirsson with CPA.com, and executives at the AICPA, Bill.com, Intacct, and numerous accounting firms.
